What the result means
Window contribution equals net revenue less sales-linked variable cost and avoidable time cost. Dead-hour cost is the amount by which that result falls below zero.
BOUNDARY STATES
- Zero net revenue has no observed contribution-margin ratio. Break-even revenue remains unavailable unless a positive ratio is entered explicitly.
- A zero or negative contribution-margin ratio has no finite break-even revenue.
- The optional closure comparison is a separate scenario. It does not change the observed window contribution.
This is a transparent operator model, not a benchmark, forecast, accounting opinion, valuation, or instruction to open, close, promote, borrow, or sign a lease. The result changes when the inputs change.
